NAU Distance Learning Live Help

90-30 Degree Programs

This fall, Northern Arizona University (NAU) will offer two new degree programs that allow students to transfer up to 90 credit hours towards the completion of a bachelor of arts or science degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in either humanities or public management.

NAU is the first of the state's three public universities to offer the 90/30 program, which was approved by the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) last week. This reflects an increase from the 64 credit hour limit historically accepted by Arizona universities from the community college system.

Once admitted to NAU, students will complete the remaining 30 hours of upper-division credit by taking classes through distance learning courses offered at more than 35 locations across the state and online.

NAU's 90/30 program will provide greater access to a baccalaureate degree, enhance course transferability, allow completion of a bachelor's degree at a lower cost, and potentially increase the number and scope of NAU's current community college partnerships.

Students will pay community college tuition for their first 90 units and NAU tuition for their final 30 units, thus reducing the overall cost of their bachelor's degree.

For more information on the 90-30 programs, contact the student service center at distance.programs@nau.edu or call 800-426-8315.
