Enrollment
Once you've been admitted to NAU, you should activate your NAU email account online or contact the Academic Computing Help Desk for assistance at (928) 523-9294, toll free at (888) 520-7215. Speak to an academic advisor and you are ready to enroll!
Enrolling in Classes
- To enroll online, log in with your NAU email account user ID and password. For assistance with your user ID and password contact the Academic Computing Help Desk at (928) 523-9298 or (888) 520-7215. (Advisement is recommended if you have not earned any NAU units or if your GPA is less than 2.5.)
- To enroll in person, complete appropriate form
- To enroll by mail complete the appropriate form and Tuition Payment Form. Mail your enrollment forms and your payment to: Box 4103, Flagstaff AZ 86011-4103.
- To enroll by fax, fax a completed enrollment form to the Registrar's Office at (928) 523-1414.
Enrollment Limits
Per Arizona Board of Regents policy, students may take a maximum of 15 - 16 units during the summer term and a maximum of 4 units during the winter term. The procedure for requesting a unit-load override is:
Undergraduate students should send an email containing the following information to Dr. Ron Pitt, Associate Provost at Ronald.Pitt@nau.edu. Graduate students should send the same information to the Associate Dean of their Academic College.
- Student Name
- Student ID number
- Course(s) student is currently enrolled in
- Course(s) student is requesting that would exceed limit
- Reason for request
If approved, Flagstaff students should take the email response to the Registrar's office for processing. Distance Learning students should forward approval to the Registrar or appropriate office for enrollment assistance.
