Graduation

Well you've done it! You've been working hard on your degree program at NAU and now it is time to prepare for graduation. Getting your diploma or participating in commencement ceremonies is not automatic. You need to take the initiative and file an application for graduation with the department of your major or with your advisor and you will have to pay a graduation application fee to the bursar's office.

Once your application has been reviewed and it is clear that you have met all the requirements you can order your cap and gown from the NAU Bookstore by calling (800) 426-7674, ext. 4436. If you've excelled in your studies you may be eligible for special recognition at commencement. Commencement exercises or graduation ceremonies are held on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus three times a year. The largest ceremony takes place after the spring term. You can watch a webcast of graduation or learn about commencement speakers online. Many local NAU campuses also hold graduation ceremonies for their students. Check with your advisor or your local campus office for details.
