Applying for Graduation
You cannot graduate or receive your diploma until you have applied for
graduation. We strongly urge you to begin this application process and submit
your application for graduation during the first term of your senior year, or
for graduate students, during the first term of your final year of study. Part
of the graduation application process is a review of your degree requirements
and coursework. Beginning this process early is in your best interest; it can
alert you to any unanticipated course requirements with enough time to complete
them before or during your final term.
If you are an undergraduate student use the
registrar's checklist to learn about deadlines and steps to graduation.
Then work with your local NAU campus staff, your advisor, the
department of your major and the registrar's office (928-523-2108 or
800-426-8315 ext. 2108) to get the right forms and meet all deadlines. The
registrar also provides an online undergraduate graduation application packet.
The packets include the undergraduate graduation application form, a checklist,
a sheet of useful general information, and an unofficial transcript request
form. On the registrar's website, follow the Forms link to the "Graduation Application Packet."
As a graduate student, work with your local NAU campus staff, your
advisor, and the Graduate College [928) 523-4348 or 1-(800) 426-8315 ext 4348]
to complete the application for graduation
and meet deadlines.
