Financial Aid Deadlines

If you plan to use financial aid to pay for all or part of your college expenses you will need to stay informed about deadlines and processes. Listed below are some annual financial aid activities. For more detail refer to the financial aid website.

    January
  • You can sign, date and submit your FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA for the next academic year.
  • You'll receive your Student Aid Report (SAR).
  • If you are applying for needs-based scholarships, submit your FAFSA to the federal processor or apply online by February 14.
    March
  • As an admitted student, new or continuing, complete and submit your Scholarship Interest Form.
  • The financial aid awarding process begins this month. Sign and return your Master Promissory Note.
    May
  • If you are studying jointly at NAU and another institution, begin the Consortium Agreement process this month.
    October
  • The FAFSA Renewal Application process for next year begins this month.
  • You may be asked to participate in the Federal Quality Assurance Program.

August, 2008 
08/11/2008$50 Late enrollment fee may apply - Students who enroll on or after the first day of class may be subject to a $50 late enrollment fee (S8A-1087)
08/16/2008

Tuition Payment Plan Automatic Enrollment:  All students with a balance of $500 or more will be automatically placed in the Tuition Payment Plan and charged a non-refundable $50 processing fee. (http://home.nau.edu/bursar/tuitionpayment.asp)

08/25/2008$50 Late enrollment fee may apply - Students who enroll on or after the first day of class may be subject to a $50 late enrollment fee (S12, S16-1087)
08/25/2008Last day for 100% tuition refund (S8A-1087)
September, 2008 
09/01/2008Last day for 100% tuition refund (S10-1087)
09/08/2008Last day for 100% tuition refund (S12, S16-1087)
October, 2008 
10/06/2008Deadline to withdraw from ALL classes (S8A-1087)
10/13/2008$50 Late enrollment fee may apply - Students who enroll on or after the first day of class may be subject to a $50 late enrollment fee (S8B-1087)
10/18/2008Deadline to withdraw from ALL classes (S10-1087)
10/27/2008Last day for 100% tuition refund (S8B-1087)
November, 2008 
11/06/2008Deadline to withdraw from ALL classes (S12-1087)
11/28/2008Deadline to withdraw from ALL classes (S16-1087)
December, 2008 
12/06/2008Deadline to withdraw from ALL classes (S8B-1087)
