System Requirements

To accommodate a web class your computer needs to have the appropriate hardware, browser settings, cache configuration, plug-ins for multimedia course content, and other requirements. Since most NAU web classes are hosted in the Vista software program, the requirements listed here apply to Vista classes. They are, however, a good benchmark for taking any web-based class.

Part of having the appropriate system for taking a web class is making sure your computer is and remains virus free. Consult our Virus Support pages where you will find valuable information on viruses and hoaxes , tips for avoiding infections on your computers, and links to our software download area, where you can download and install virus protection for your PC or Macintosh computer.

We've also included a list of links to different online resources where you can get up to the minute news on the latest viruses and virus resources.
