In Person
There was a time when the only way to take a class
was to live at college and go to class on campus. This usually meant sitting in
a classroom with other students at a specific time and place, while the
professor stood in front of the class and lectured. Classes taught this way are
often referred to as in-person classes or traditional format classes. This
method of taking a class is still preferred by many students. However, a growing
population of students cannot afford the time or money required to live
on-campus and attend class. Instead, they've discovered the distance learning
in-person class.
Distance learning in-person classes are sponsored
by one of our local NAU campuses. Our staff arrange for classes to be held in
local schools, libraries, and other meeting rooms in your community or within
driving distance. Classes meet mostly in the evenings or on weekends. As in a
traditionally taught class, you and your professor will interact in a classroom
setting with other students - but it will be at a time and place convenient for
your schedule.
